Drag Me To Hell - bones weep tedium - 06-30-2009 Sorrel and I saw this move the weekend before last, and we both really enjoyed it. I thought the the lead actress was very well cast - pretty in a plain. girl next door kinda way. I woul dhave found it hard to sympathise with a porn-star-a-like type actress like Megan Fox, but I felt like the girl in Drag Me To Hell was like people I knew. I thought the story was fun and the scares were very even;ly distributed throughout and I never felt bored, though Sorrel and I saw the envelope gag coming from a mile off. My only criticism is the volume - in the cinema I saw the film in, the scary bits were ear-splittingly loud! There was a bit in the film where there was an unplesant sound that made all the characters in the film wince and cover their ears, and it made Sorrel and I do the same thing! ![]() Drag Me To Hell - saynomore - 06-30-2009 bones weep tedium Wrote:I thought the the lead actress was very well cast - pretty in a plain. girl next door kinda way. I kept thinking the same thing during the movie. Even considered a male protagonist in the role. But the actress held the movie together, for me anyway, neither detracting or distracting from the plot. AC P.S. There were no scary parts. That loud music popped up out of nowhere and scared me no matter what was going on on the screen. Yipes. Drag Me To Hell - Pacal - 07-20-2009 I caught it last week in the theater and was glad I could still see it on the big screen. There were a lot of 'booga-booga' moments that wind you up for a scare and then leave you laughing. The car-fight scene had to be the best and was very reminiscent of Evil Dead. Kudos to Raimi for delivering to old school fans. Drag Me To Hell - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 07-20-2009 Scott Miller Wrote:Raimi's return to horror is well worth seeing, but alas, it's no Evil Dead II. He uses many of the same techniques from that movie, but Alison Lohman is no Bruce Campbell. This film is more serious and only ventures into humor a few times. It features one crazy gypsy lady who steals the show. Don't crazy gypsy ladies always steal the show? Drag Me To Hell - fantasma3c - 07-20-2009 This movie was sick and I very much enjoyed the humor ![]() Drag Me To Hell - Brian - 07-21-2009 Good flick, even worth seeing twice in the theaters. Drag Me To Hell - Kenji - 11-07-2009 Today is the opening day in Japan, so I went to a theatre. Sam Raimi's BACK!!! This is a truly powerful occult horror film since The Exorcist. While I was watching the movie I shouted, "Oh!" "Yikes!" "Holy crap!" "Ugh!" "Ouch!"....Oh yeah, I was very tired, but I really enjoyed it. ![]() But why is that title "Drag Me To Hell"? Christine would say "DON'T drag me to hell!".
Coin and button....damned! That last scene was excellent twisted moments! I LOVED it! This is exactly horror movie!
|
