You have been warned.

After much soul searching, I decided. Tony Scott for the "big movie" factor.

How 'bout Ridley Scott? (Aw, jeez, I forgot he's got his hands busy now with Joe Haldeman's great THE FOREVER WAR. Which I can't see how it can be filmed...not that kind of book. But if anybody can... Michael Mann!)

Well, he's not only too busy with that, he's producing 9 and directing 2 other movies in the next 24 months.

Plus he doesn't fit FPW's criteria from his November post about the Director already having worked with Beacon (to my curent knowledge...do you know something about this that I don't, Mike?).

He would be a dream-choice, however.

Bones hates Mann for The Keep almost as much as I hate Ratner for X-men 3.

Do you really think Mann deserves another chance to completely friking screw up an FPW novel?

No inside-info at all, Wap. And I agree he'd be a dream-choice. He =understands= that kind of story.

Hmmm.

It appears that Beacon Communications has been superceeded by Beacon Pictures...that opens up another list of possible directors like:

Sam Raimi: Spiderman 1-4/Evil Dead1-4/For The Love of the Game
Kevin Costner: Dances With Wolves/Postman/Waterworld
Garry Marshall: Pretty Woman/Frankie and Johnny/Runnaway Bride/Princess Diaries
Andy Davis: The Fugitive/Holes/Above the Law

Personally, I'll stick with the ones in the poll.

Holes was a very good representation of the book, but not for RJ. At ALL!
