BY THE SWORD covers - mkmfpwfan - 07-24-2008 Mark and I both prefer the 2nd one. Keri BY THE SWORD covers - bones weep tedium - 07-24-2008 I think I prefer the second one too, but only because the first one looks too stumpy. BY THE SWORD covers - Lysistrata - 07-24-2008 The first one is maybe more appealing with the sun setting in the background. But if a symbol of Japan, shouldn't it be a rising sun? As for the second photo, at least I understand the diamond pattern Tom Day made with the silk thread :p! BY THE SWORD covers - cobalt - 07-24-2008 I like the second cover best. BY THE SWORD covers - Scott Hajek - 07-24-2008 No. 2 BY THE SWORD covers - GeraldRice - 07-24-2008 I'll take the 2nd please. BY THE SWORD covers - Silverfish - 07-24-2008 I prefer the first one. I think the silhouettes of both ships and the sword work well together. Actually now that I look at it again, after reading the comments, I perfer the second one. Yes, this is my final answer. The sword more clearly represents the topic. Our focus is more on it. I can imagine reaching out and picking this sword up, as opposed to the first one looking like it's on display. (It was on display, but in a completely different setting.) I like the colour scheme too. I don't find it too contrast-y. It is almost sepia in colour. This works well with the history aspect of the sword. But what is with Jack? He's either got his tuque rolled up or something protruding from his head. What's with the arms all forshortened and at weird angles? Sorry, but not a big fan of this silhouette. Overall, I like the covers. Stephanie BY THE SWORD covers - jimbow8 - 07-24-2008 I like the second one because it's too odd to have the sun in two different pictures on the same cover (even though maybe we can't quite see it on the top picture). BY THE SWORD covers - ccosborne3 - 07-24-2008 Webby's right. #1 looks like a well. BY THE SWORD covers - mad4tunes - 07-25-2008 I prefer #2... |
