Riding the Niner- a repairman jack comic? - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 07-28-2008 Legion Wrote:Actually, in Hosts The narrator ( I think its the nerdy reporter guy) mentions in the first couple of paragraphs that he has always ended up taking the 9 or the 1 and sitting on the last car as its a few steps closer to his door. He did that, Legion. But no more 9 train. No one could be sorrier. Riding the Niner- a repairman jack comic? - Legion - 07-28-2008 Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:He did that, Legion. I just relax a bit when I am on the subway. There were times when one of my exes and I would spend all night just cruisin the subways. Then again, we both grew up in South jersey so we're used to loitering in train cars for fun, except those cars usually hadn't run in decades and had food and cute little waitresses. Got me a bad feeling--premonition?--something very grim's gonna happen in the subway. My memory sucks these days. Then again, stuff like that is why I don't entirely buy the whole terrorism angle. It would be the easiest thing in the world moohomo'd and his boys to board a train or or esp a bus and kaboom the whole thing. That would throw any major city into chaos and gridlock but it never happens... Makes me wonder. Well, maybe 20. But you know what I mean. Big cities are fragile. Maybe the word has gone out: "Attack our cities, and the nukes will fly. Praise Jesus and fuck Allah!" Riding the Niner- a repairman jack comic? - Automatic Jack - 07-30-2008 Thanks for the heads up, Legion. And what a tragic story; as a would-be professional artist, any story even remotely smacking of creative piracy gives me the shivers. After all, it could happen and probably will happen to me someday. Also, the subway incident in Japan occurred in 1995, if this is correct. Trying like hell to get my own writing done. Had a major problem for past four years or so, but thanks to some advice from Paul I am back at the keyboard. Was actually going to film one of my ideas. had a crew together, actors, equip, cams, etc. but i decided against it. I hated the way it was gonna look, so I didn't film it. Something was wrong with the project but I am not sure what. Still, if it isn't what I want it to be, even in my subconcious, I refuse to make it. Maybe someday. |
