Stains in By the Sword - bones weep tedium - 07-01-2008

Here I was expecting an amusing story re: a stain in your brand new copy of By The Sword, and what I get instead is a faceful of 'Slaters' and 'purplish blotches' before I realise what's going on and click off.

You're a bad person, Lysistrata Wink j/k . . . or am I?????

How dreadful it must have been for you. I feel so guilty now. But how was I to imagine the horror I would bestow on you?

As Shakespeare would say, 'Thou knowest but little what awaitest thou 'round the corner, and the hand that counteth its chicken ere they be hatched oft times but doth slip on a banana skin'

You managed to find something nobody else on this board full o' Jack Addicts noticed! Confusedhocked:

Very Observant... almost too observant... *Writes in notebook "Must be sure to keep an eye on Lysistrata. Suspect to be an Otherness spy. I hope not. Disposing of the body of that last one was a real pain."*

Er... I mean... Welcome!

Are you a Lovecraft fan, Lysistrata? What's your favorite story of the writer who fought Poe to a standstill?

Stains in By the Sword - Lysistrata - 07-02-2008

Can't remember the title right now, but it deals with an American named Delapore who finds that his ancestors were Englishmen named de la Poer (allusion to Poe?). He comes back to England and settles in the old castle. Then...

If you have not read it I would hate to spoil it for you, because it is very neat.

What is your favorite story?
