While "dated" books can be very good reads, I'd say it is an exception rather than a rule. Recessions rarely last very long, unless you have some idiot like FDR prolong them with wrong-headed economic policies. But by the end of the story I didn't feel that way and in some respects agreed with what he had said. It was a good book and made you think.
