All of the magic numers are 3 or 7 in fairy tales. I though that your mention if 23 had to do with the horror movie 23. It was...the number can be found virtually everywhere you look, but I'll leave you to see the movie...and the special features go further into describing the phenomenon. It is freaky. One (small?) example. The Axis of the Earth is 23.5 degrees. So what, I said to myself, that's not 23. But what does 2+3 equal? So the axis of the Earth tilts at 23 plus 2 plus 3 degrees. This is only the beginning of the creepiness. -Wapitikev Every Secret Explained *** SPOILERS*** - Libby - 04-28-2008 Wapitikev Wrote:It was...the number can be found virtually everywhere you look, but I'll leave you to see the movie...and the special features go further into describing the phenomenon. Wait, maybe here are 23 women with dogs! Every Secret Explained *** SPOILERS*** - KRW - 04-29-2008 anthonylangton Wrote:My first post and I'm already attempting to blow minds. Well, here goes... The way I read the books, it seemed like it "was" the otherness killing off his loved ones. The insinuation was very high in "Gateways" when Rasalom told Jack he wanted to see him suffer, that it would be like a fine wine. But in "Harbingers" it was discovered that it was the ally trimming his branches. (all the better for the R-guy) Also remember that in "Gateways" that Jack needed to go to Florida to get a major piece to the puzzle that fit in "Crisscross". But if you look at it one way, the ladies may have been responsible for Jacks presence in Florida. After all, he learned more about them in that book than in all the other books combined. But I doubt it. I prefer the theory that they are strategical placing themselves in these situations to help educate and help Jack because they have recognized him as a pawn that could be a king in this battle for Earth. And they want to win too. (I'm sure by any means necessary) The "freaks in the creek" where definitely otherness tainted. IMO (I want to say by way of Monroe, but I'm not sure) Although by using the see shells (Yes, I meant see) to "remote view" and influence the behavior of animals kinda smacks of the ladies, (didn't she get the shells from an old woman?) but the allie or the adversary could be responsible for it also. DISCLAIMER: This post was typed from my memory and after a 6 pack of beer. Every Secret Explained *** SPOILERS*** - Wapitikev - 04-29-2008 Libby Wrote:Also, 2 and 3 are both prime numbers. The fact that .2 and .3 have a decimal in front of them have no effect on the fact that the numeral 2 and 3 are there...they've just been divided by 10. One of the main things that make it creepy is that you can use any permutation or combination of the numbers 2 and 3 and they have something in common with many situations. For example: maybe there's only 5 women (2 women plus 3 women)...or, creepier yet, maybe theres a woman and a dog (2) and there's Jack and Gia and Vicki (3). Together, they may all represent the Earth against both the the Ally and the Otherness. As I said, Creepy. -Wapitikev Every Secret Explained *** SPOILERS*** - Alvin Fox - 04-29-2008 KRW Wrote:The way I read the books, it seemed like it "was" the otherness killing off his loved ones. And they want to win too. (I'm sure by any means necessary) I was thinking that Anya had influenced Jack's dad into moving to Florida. She said that she occasionally worked in the office for Gateways South sending out brochures. So she sends one to Tom, arranges it so Tom gets the house next to hers and she puts up the invisible writing on the outside walls of Tom's house to keep it protected. Plus Tom had no idea why he packed up and moved 1500 miles away from all of his kids and grandkids. So Anya moved Tom down there because she knew what the Ally was going to do and wanted to protect him. The freaks were the result of a burst of Otherness from the nexus point/ cenote in the Everglades. Semelee got her eye-shells from an old Indian (by that I mean Native American) woman at the funeral of the father (who was a Native American as well) she never knew. She assumes the woman was a relative. But due to mutations, being drawn to the nexus point and the feeling of being at home there... It's the same situation with The Peabody-Ozymandias Traveling Circus and Oddity Emporium. So I'd say Semelee and her clan are Otherness related. Just...could...someone send me some books? Kinda broke here. It's been a while since I picked up a book (still working on final edits here) but as soon as I can, I'm getting all of the Man's books purchased and read over and over and over again! Not that I smoke pot, but it is a memerable time. It always works. Just be creative, pick a reasonable number and it is the same thing. Granted, you don't need to be creative to make 23 work that way, and it it creepy that the are every where, but if you look hard enough, you will find it. True, any reasonable number can always be found if you're looking for it. I first heard about '23' about 13 years ago when I was reading Illuminati conspiracy books. But I'm always on the lookout for '42'- the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything. I am such a nerd.
