Dark Tower Movie? - ccosborne3 - 02-17-2007

When I picture Roland I see the illustrations done by Phil Parks from Drawing of The Three.

I would prefer an unknown actor but if anybody comes to mind it would be Guy Pearce.

I was thinking the same thing! He would be very good for that part now. Smile

Guy Pearce would be good for Eddie, but not Roland.

Perfect for Roland... Chris Cooper. An extremely talented actor with the perfect looks and age for the part.

He can do the intense, thoughtful, troubled thing - http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0365737/SC104.jpg.html?path=pgallery&path_key=Cooper,%20Chris%20(I)&seq=55

And the smirking thing - http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/2381/ChrisCoope_Cohen_2089243_400.jpg.html?path=pgallery&path_key=Cooper,%20Chris%20(I)&seq=10

Perfect. Just perfect.

This is news to me because on his website SK said that he didn't want to make DT into a movie because everyone would picture the actors in the book instead of what they make them. Still would be cool though. Clint Eastwood is who kept popping into my head for Roland but Hugh Jackman would be good too.

I was always thinking Bill Paxton is good for Eddie.

Even though I loved the series....if they made the books into a TV series or cable show....I'd buy the set when it came out....watch it until the end....and just like the book...when it "ended"....throw it across the room.

Ka is a wheel after all!

I have a friend that actually stopped reading the last book when it got the part where King suggests that maybe you let the journey end at the door.

There was no way I was reading all those pages and not getting all the way to the end. LOL.

How could you not? Your friend has more will power than I.

Exactly. The dude's crazy. The thing that sucks is that we have been reading these books (along with most of the other related King books) in concert all these years and discussing the results. I could not even discuss the end with him because he wouldn't read on. Very frustrating!!

How about Mickey Rourke if you could slim him down to about 160lbs?
