i wouldn't want to have to try to explain the wriong last name on my driver's license to my mother- and I don't even like her.
the family is likely your average whiteangloesaxonprotestant kinda thing. Tom/Jack/Kate/Tom Jr./country clubs/ivy league schools, etc etc etc....English or Irish descent is a high probablilty.
and I found a pretty big OOPS in the updated Rakoshi text- I can't figure out how this got missed. the background story on Kusu and Kolabati stil has thier parents dying in a train wreck on 1948. If the purpose of th eupdates was to bring the story into line witht he rest of the RK series (some of which specifically mention 9-11 and such to date the books), then that wouldn't wash.
