Holy crap! Even with all of its faults, Superman Returns was leaps and bounds better than this. It's obvious that the writer is unfamiliar with the superhero mythos. There were so many things done wrong and I'm not talking about the heroine's neuroses.

Mike Wrote:It is not the worst movie of the year; not even close. I saw it and thought it was hilarious. I liked Eddie Izzard as Bedlam in this. True, he was no real super villain like you would see in a Spidey movie, but he'll give you some laughs. I liked it better than a lot of movies I saw this year, especially Superman which nearly put me to sleep.
MIKE! How are you? Where have you been? It's been like a gazillion months since you've posted. I've missed you at the haiku thread. Glad to see you're back.

I just watched 3 Eddie Izzard shows on BBC on demand. Hysterical! Nearly 3 hours in concert and I could watch more still. I love that guy.

Finally!!!

Today I saw "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" in a theatre. Japanese title is "G-girl"....what a simple!

I enjoyed it. Well, actually it's more than that. It was hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing. What a silly movie! But I like silly comedy movies. That's my guilty pleasure. :p

Uma Thurman was wild and hot! I've never seen superheroine who throw shark Big Grin

Maggers Wrote:I enjoyed "My Super Ex-Girlfriend." Luke Wilson was terrific. Uma Thurman made a gorgeous superheroine, hot, wild and crazy, emphasis on crazy. And wonderful suprise for me, the fabulous Eddie Izzard stars as well. He was somewhat restrained, but I'd rather have a restrained Eddie than no Eddie at all. New York City looks great, too.

This movie is light, funny, likeable summer fluff. Given the way it ended, I smell sequel.
And Maggers, the poor, poor guy. Luke had a rough time.

Personally, I liked his friend (played by Rainn Wilson).

Thanks for reminding me about Rainn Wilson. He was enjoyable. I saw the movie over the summer and forgot some of it already. Think I might watch again....

I laughed so hard when I saw this. It's actually on my (very short) list of movies to buy. Despite its flaws, it was still a good laugh.

Same here, I loved it! Much funnier than I was expecting it to be. And hey, Eddie Izzard, what more can I ask for? Big Grin
