Especially the Viagra part..............still some fire in that furnace yet!:p NIGHTWORLD-the end of repairman? - tenebroust - 06-07-2006 I don't necessarily see Nightworld as an end to Repairman Jack or the Adversary cycle per se. It takes place at Year ZERO of "civilizaton as we know it". The world may be different after it happens but that doesn't mean Jack won't be around or the Other for that matter. Am I missing something, that has pointed out the end of Jack? NIGHTWORLD-the end of repairman? - Amon - 06-07-2006 In the FAQ, FPW very adamantly states he has no intention of dealing with a post-Nightworld world. NIGHTWORLD-the end of repairman? - Manda_W - 06-07-2006 Not an end, per se, but FPW swears that he has no interest in writing about a post Nightworld world. Jack continues, the world continues, but the story ends there. Am I missing something, that has pointed out the end of Jack?Yes, unfortunately. For the FAQ, click here
3. Will we see any sequels to Nightworld/The Adversary Cycle? F. Paul Wilson has given us a repeated and pretty definite “NO” to this question over the years. On April 19th, 2000, F. Paul had this to say: I rarely say Never. I know I'll never do a sequel to NIGHTWORLD. When, and if, the Repairman Jack movie ever gets made, there could also be a video game tie-in that is set post-Nightworld. How much (if any) input F. Paul Wilson will have in this project is unknown.
And welcome to the board. NIGHTWORLD-the end of repairman? - tenebroust - 06-08-2006 >4/28 – scrapped the idea for the first young-adult RJ novel. Came up with something much better. Ideas for future stories keep popping up, plus ways to connect them to previous novels in the Adversary Cycle and even some previously unrelated novels. I understand what you're saying but I take heart in the quote above, from the news section. It seems to me that FPW may have some ideas, maybe not in a post Nightworld world, but new story ideas for RJ just the same. One can hope anyway.... Ted |
