I agree - I would LOVE to know how Jack came to know Abe. Did Jack meet him when he was looking for new weapons, or <gasp> sporting goods? LOL
As for Julio, I seem to remember reading that Jack met Julio when he hired Jack to fix the problem of someone beating on his sister. After that he had Julio's respect.
