I know Watchmen is based on comic book but I don't know much about Watchmen. Sounds good to me.

Watchmen is one of the finest graphic novels of all time. Alan Moore is a master of the art. I would certainly recomemend getting a copy.

Cheers

Read what you want, I don't know if there will be movie spoilers or not as they normally destroy storylines to fit the movies...

Quote:"Mr. Fantastic, who stretches, is just like from the Incredibles."

That's hilarious! Some people are clueless. Maybe someone should tell the guy that the newer stuff just MIGHT be a copy of the ORIGINAL? Big Grin

The first of 12 video diaries from the set of Watchmen. Still no sign of Dr Manhattan, and only a few brief glimpses of the guy who's playing The Comedian, but some interesting insights into the sets and design of te film.

Looking good so far! Cool

HAHAHAHA! I love it!

I just got my all in one copy of Watchmen last week. Having ready comic books on and off for two decades I'm not sure how I avoided it. So far it is very good, I just wish I had more time to sit and read it.

All in one copy?

Watchmen is awesome, though it's only when you're reading it for the 3rd/4th time that your realise how awesome Wink

The Watchmen killed your parents! It wasn't me! I was framed!

All in one copy [def]: a collected trade paperback of original, separate comic book issues designed to flood the market with reprints of an existing, (sometimes) popular storyline, thereby earning the publishing company buckets more money and, simultaneously, completely devaluing the original copies painstakingly purchased and preserved by collectors. Comic collectors are rumoured not to be frond of "all in one copies." Can usually be found in the comic section of most chain-bookstores and virtually all comic book stores.

No dice, Wapitikev. If it was the Watchmen they wouldn't have left a calling card at all; they're too smart. You, on the other hand . . .

. . . let's just say the net is closing in on you, murderer.

Wink

Cheers for the def. Was Watchmen released as seperate issues? I had always thought it was a graphic novel, which was originally released as a single volume a la a novel, different from a trade paperback which is a reprint of a series etc as you said.

Maybe we'll never know (until someone looks it up on wikipediaRolleyes)

Drat! Foiled again! [note to self...stop signing wetwork]

Watchmen was originally a twelve issue mini-series (which I own, being a comic book geek from waaaaay back), hence the chagrin regarding the (endless) reprinting. I think it's been released in several different complied editions over the years.

Glad it's finally being made into a movie...but since I'm a bit of a stickler for continuity, I am not getting my hopes up.Sad

The stills look good though.

Veidt TV commercial competition: CLICKETTE LA LINKE

Looks like fun for fans, and easy on the film's budget.

I'd have a go, but the requirement to make it 80s style would hack me off. Wink
