Good find.
I like Miles a lot as well. I think he had a pretty cool introduction as a character, and the actor who plays him is cheeky and laconic in equal measure.
I imagine he is integral to how things go wrong once Jack et al leave the Island. A psychic as powerful as he is might be able to gazump Locke out of his position on the island?

Excellent question. I don't have an answer. I have a thought, which, as we know, is good for next nothing on LOST. At first I thought he was working with Widmore. As the season ended, I'd shifted to thinking that Abbadon is working for yet another contender in the search for the Island. Not Ben, not Widmore, maybe the Hanso Foundation, maybe even another as yet unknown organization.

He could be a way for Jacob to appear to Locke. It would be freaky for Locke/Jacob to appear to himself as himself. Ooops, I've already tripped over my own time traveling thoughts.
