Fahrenheit 9/11 - Brian Taylor - 08-03-2004

Sorry, but this won't wash. The abuses at the Abu Ghraib prison were the result of policies instituted by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld himself, encouraging physical coercion and sexual humiliation in order to extract information from prisoners. The same kind of activities have been going on at Guantanamo for even longer.

I agree. The higher executives (Rumsfeld, etc) are responsible to the people. It is up to those execs to then hold their subordinates responsible. Besides, Rumsfeld has actually said that he bears at least some of the responsibility. Unfortunately, they are mere words; he hasn't done anything to personally TAKE responsibility for any of it yet.

Fahrenheit 9/11 - Kenji - 08-16-2004

It was yet another sold out show (the four theaters in the Chicago area have all been sold out for each screening) and received round of applause at the end.

Finally, I saw this today. I just wanna say, "Good work, Michael Moore!"
Well, if I talked about American President, everybody will say "You are Japanese, so you don't need care about our President". But let me tell one thing.

President Bush's ways are wrong.

By the way, this is most controversial movie at present in Japan, too. Last Saturday, yesterday, and today, all shows were sold out.

I think we would all be interested in your opinion, Kenji, whether we agree or not. So, if you want to say something about Bush or anyone else, go ahead.
