I wonder if Harry is going to turn out to be Dexter's real father ... I mean he was doing Dex's mom ... and Harry took Dex out of the shipping container the same way that Dex carried little Harrison out of the bathroom ... And Harry only took in and adopted Dexter ...
I think the police chief knows it too, He didnt tell Debra because he didnt want to admit more than she already knew ... But why else was it so easy for harry to adopt Dex? Because he could prove he was his father. And he wouldnt tell anyone because then his wife would know he was cheating ...

I've kind of just figured he was Dexter's father just sence all this snooping came about on Deb's part. Find out he slept with his CI's and he happened to adopt this one kid? Then again it could just be explained he felt sympathy as it was his fault(kind of) she died. I reallly think its up to the writers and if they can see some way to spin it.
I've really been going crazy at the tail spin Dexter's life could head into next season. He will have to dogde a lot of bullets to come out of this with no difficulties. Also on a side note nice to see the show nominated for best drama and Lithgow for best supporting actor.

I think Harry will turn out to be Dexter's father, but it isn't really a major plot point anymore if he is or is not. Rita's two kids will probably go to someone in her family, but what about Harrison?

right ... How is Dexter going to leave in the middle of the night? babysitters dont generally sleep over ... and Harrison isnt old enogh to stay home alone

Yeah I think thats probably the major set up. With Quinn and Deb some what questioning him and it will be kinda hard to believe that trinity got another kill in just before running out of town plus from what I remember she was killed differently(throat not thigh in this case)
I think this will be the way they go just cause there is so many things leaning toward this.

Finally watched the finale last night and all I can say is BOO! I didn't care for it at all. Much like season three, I thought it seemed rushed with Trinity and the final scene was just awful-really left a bad taste in my mouth.

I read on another forum that Trinity may not be the one who killed Rita at all. That the timeline doesn't fit. The person also suggested Quinn might be the killer.

Yeah a lot of people have been trying to throw out Quinn, and the next door neihbor, and even Dexter himself as the killer, but the writers and actors have been asked non stop since the finale and they have all said straight out Trinity killed her with no doubt. I think the timeline fits it's just they didn't really explain what happened off camera, you just sort of have to guess.

I rewatched the end last night and Trinity certainly had time but I'd have thought he'd use the info to traumitize Dexter when he was on the table and the only aspect of that scene that might have given us a clue was when he said, "It's over. It's already over." And while we never got a clear shot of Rita, I didn't see her neck or wrist slashed so I assume it was the femoral that bled out. I still didn't care for it.
