Who's Your Cast? - persephoneslove - 11-18-2008

I suggested Wentworth Miller as a possible Jack? He's not looking so good anymore. I don't know if it's for the show or he's just eating too many BigMacs, but the boy got fat. And it's only been in the last season of the show. Jack's not exactly Mr. Buffercize, but hey, he doesn't have a beer gut either.

In other news: going to read "Deep As the Marrow" for the first time, wish luck.

I LOVE Deep as the Marrow. It is my favorite Non-Otherness book.

P.S. Why don't you post on other parts of the board? You have wonderful insights, but people in the rest of the board don't know you.Smile

When I"ve read any of the RJ books I always pictured Jason Statham ( the Transporter movies, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Bank Job) He's about 37, so maybe alittle too old, English, so he better have a pretty damn good American accent in his bag, and I would love it if he had alittle more hair. ( not a criticism, he's still who I picture as the "everyman" when I read RJ) All things aside he has a cool demeanor, and plays the tough yet compassionate role balls accurate!!!! Google him and let me know if I'm crazy.

Your crazy dude...:confused::crazy:...
I like what Stathams done, like in the Transporter, kinda, but especially in Lock,stock and 2 smoking barrels. But I dont think he conveys the inner darkness Jack holds whatwith having Odna..Not to suck up again, but when I saw Desmond Harrington for the first time,minus the squinting, it was how Id actually pictured RJ ever since I read the tomb..Add the scars and I think we haves a winner...

I like Ryan Reynolds a lot, but he does have the comedy baggage. Maybe his sarcasm would fit well in carrying Jack's unique views on life.

I do agreee with a the previous post on Cole Hauser. He played well in Papparazzi and pulled off a good bit of revenge trickery.

I'd almost prefer to read the rest of the series first. I've had Jack in my head for half my life and would rather not read the rest of the books with contrary images.

I usually just don't have time. I only have a limited amount of time online due to sharing it with a very selfish gamer and someone who likes to visit every single online gossip rag in the universe. So mostly I just stick with my own thread. I'll try and broaden my opinionated-ness to other threads though, Libby.

NO more Jason Statham please! If you wanna know why he was vetoed read some of the earlier posts. In fact everybody who just became new go back and read everything before so we don't repeat ourselves. I may be harsh but, hey, life's too short to rehash bad character choices when Year Zero is approaching!
