I agree! John must be magical, for sure, to survive being pushed out of an 8th floor window. That he only had a broken back is remarkable.

Great episode!

Didn't you just love the look on his face at the end when they opened the door? Priceless!

Can you say......fear? Now I wonder what Locke will do with him?

It totally was!

Honestly, I was annoyed at the writing of Wednesday's episode. Locke tells his father his fiance's son thinks he's conning his mother and then trusts his father to break up with her and go away. I mean...PLEASE! He has double-crossed Locke so many times before, why would he trust him? And it was so obvious his father was going to be in the "magic box" the Other Leader Dude told him about.

I'm annoyed and frustrated and hoping things get better on Lost soon. I love Locke's character, but they are making him out to be stupid and all the loose ends are grating on my nerves. On the bright side, we did learn how Locke ended up in a wheelchair, although having him survive that fall is pretty silly.

Well, here is something that corn-fused me. When Locke was telling his dad to break up with the lady, he was like, "I want to SEE you do it." So I thought he meant for his dad to do it right there in the shop in front of him. But then his dad just leaves? Then later admits he didn't go through with it (duh). I just thought that seemed odd, almost like they changed up a scene or two right before filming.

I've watched it 2 or 3 times, and I'm pretty sure Locke says to his father, "I want to hear you say it. SAY IT!" He wants to hear his father say that he will end it, but his father doesn't quite go that far. Still a pretty weak attempt to get his father to change, though, and foolish of Locke to believe it. But also consider the state he was in; the poor man was deeply depressed, and depression does not make you keen and sharp.

As soon as I saw how high a floor his father's apartment was on, I knew Locke would be flying before long. Didn't expect the shove through the window; I thought he'd be tossed from a balcony.

Did anyone notice that John's father was drinking scotch (whiskey?) in his apartment just before he pushed his son through the window, and that the liquor was the same as was drunk by Pen's father and Duncan? Not quite sure what that means, but just another little connection.

Is it really that silly? What about the man that fell 10,000 feet with only a couple broken bones and some scratches? There's a couple videos of it, I'll find them and link them. He fell in some bushes. It really is amazing.

LOST Tonight!! - metllicamilitia - 03-26-2007

Here's the video(s). I was wrong. He fell 2 miles. 2 miles! And only a punctured leg and a broken ankle. John fell 8 stories and had a broken back.

They made the episode a little too obvious though.
