Maggers Wrote:Too bad reality has to impinge on the show. The kid was already looking different when Michael got him back.
Obviously, you didn't realize that time flows differently on different sections of the Island. Four months at the crash site could be three years in isolated pockets of the island.

dududududududududududududududududududududududu....

Sounds plausible to me. Otherwise they would have had the only boat that could leave and not just travel in circles or get confounded by the magnetic forces on the island.

Didn't Ben say that the compass bearing would take them 'home'? (Don't have my DVDs so can't check this out.) If this is the same 'home' that Jack was sent to then I think it will definitely be the little village on the island.
Still not sure how they will figure out Walt's age though....

The Islanders will confront their most deadly obstacle ever.

There hasn't been alot to complain about the show the past few weeks so I'm gonna switch targets to ABC's ads. they never seem to give an accurate depiction of the show.

There better be an obstacle and it better be wicked deadly!

And what's this World According to Jim crap?

Where's my last week replay?

LOST Tonight!! - outlanders - 03-14-2007

SPOILERS ALERT! Don't read further.... unless you don't care.

So, tonight we learn that Jack and Claire are half brother and sister. Not really sure what to make of that, other than it sure as heck wasn't expected! And, Kate, Locke, Sayid discover the location of the Other's encampment. Talk about the look of shock on their faces when they saw Jack playing catch with Tom, eh?

Yep, that was pretty F'd up.

If we remember the second season....In Australia, Ana Lucia was playing chauffeur to Jack's father; he had her take him to a house at night in the pouring rain. He pounded on the door and asked to speak to someone. I want to say that he actually said the name "Claire" but I don't know if that's accurate; I'll have to check that out. A blond woman answered the door. The scene was shot from a distance so we can't see who it is, but it's clear whoever it is doesn't like him much. She slammed the door on him and Jack's dad stumbled back to the car. Ana Lucia asked him what that was all about, but he didn't answer directly. She suggests to Jack's dad that maybe it's time to go home, back to America. He says no, she says yes. Eventually she gets on the plane and the rest is history.

From that scene, it was clear that Jack's dad had a history with someone in Australia, but who knew it would be Claire! I suspected it would be someone on the island and that it would be revealed in time, but I didn't think of Claire at all.

I enjoyed the episode. I can't wait to see Locke's backstory next week, how he wound up in the wheelchair. I suspect it must have something to do with his father. On the island, conflicted relationships with fathers figure prominently in nearly everyone's history.

Now who would have guessed that the Other's camp was on the SAME island as the crash survivors? I had the impression the island camp was on a third island....somehow hidden by the magnetic fields.
What did the Russian do to cause him to be encircled with a force field?
Is Locke the reason the plane crashed?
Now I think this entire series is from the fertile imagination of Furley....safely tucked into the nut hatch.

The Others' camp being on the same island as the crash survivors was made clear several episodes ago. Juliette told that to Jack, and I think Ben's daughter told them, too. At any rate, that was no surprise.

What do you mean? How did he come to die? Locke threw him into whatever force field exists between the pylons that encircle the Others' camp.

Quote:Is Locke the reason the plane crashed?
Wow, how did you come to that? That's an interesting theory.

I was thinking things were begining to make a LITTLE more sense, though nothing is as it seems on LOST.
