True Blood (Sookie Stackhouse) - beowulf - 11-17-2008

Can't wait for the last episode. Though I wish Sam turned into a Rhino or something when Bill attacked him.

What did everyone think of last night's episode? I do love the way the writers are sticking to the book's story line, yet adding little things that have me glued to the screen. But only one more episode.....oh the horror of waiting for next season!

True Blood (Sookie Stackhouse) - Tony H - 11-17-2008

I hope they resolve the murder story line! Watching Bill and Sookie fall out was heart-breaking. I am sure that comes as no surprise to the readers of the books, but I wanted them to work out.

True Blood has been consistenlty good and the trailer for the final episode of the season looks to be spot on fantastic!

I'm taking a wait and see attitude about Bill and Sookie right now. I don't know what Alan Ball's intentions are/were for them, but if he intended them NOT to work out he's probably got a real dilemma on his hands. TVBill is extremely popular thanks to the way he's written and Stephen Moyer, who is turning out to be phenomenally talented (and uber sexy). But I guess the other factor too is would Bill and Sookie just happily together make for good drama? I dunno.

I thought last night's episode was fantastic. I LOVED the way the Jessica story line developed... I was expecting misery and angst and they delivered the opposite. I was laughing so hard I had to pause the TV because I was missing what they were saying. And I loved that we're finally seeing more and more of the personality that makes me love Eric in the books. :p

Apparently, I was wrong. Apparently making out with another guy when your boyfriend has only been gone a few days is reason enough to stay uppity.

I tend to cut Sookie a whole lot of slack because even though she's mid-20's, Bill is her first boyfriend. So it makes sense to me that emotionally, she would probably be on high school level in terms of her expectations and fantasies about what having a boyfriend means. Added to that is the fact that Bill is, in fact, a vampire - no matter how sexy and sweet he is to her, he's still a vampire. That seems like a high maintenance and complicated relationship for anyone, much less someone with zero relationship experience. And like she said last night, she really DOES have a lot on her plate - a new vampire boyfriend, dead people piling up, her boss is a shifter, someone killing her granny, someone trying to kill her, etc. So yeah, I cut her a lot of slack.

Yeah. When I have a lot going on in my life I tend to make out with chicks not my wife. Cool

I give up. You'll never understand. :p

Actually, I changed my mind. I just think that a spouse is a whole different ballgame than a first time boyfriend you have been with for 3 or 4 weeks, who you only "think" you love, and who you may or may not ever see again. Especially when you're emotionally about 15 years old. Would I, at 40 years old and having been around the block, make out with my friend in that situation? No. Would I have done so at 25? Possibly. Would I have done so at 25 with the emotional maturity of a teenager? Very possibly. Apples and oranges.

You're so right here Noelie. In the books, Sookie is explained much more in depth. Not just did she never have a boyfriend, everyone in town views her as really strange and avoided her. A virgin at 20 something....yet a really pretty girl/woman...she doesn't know how to act when suddenly she is now the center of attention.
Besides, this is fiction....what-ever works here.

I haven't read the books, but I get that from the tv series-that she is emotionally very young and inexperienced so that would color the way she views herself and relationships.

Question: the woman that picked Tara up from jail - was that the same woman that had the pig on the road?

Loved last night's episode. I can't wait for the finale. Like Tony I hope they resolve the murder thing!

Spoiler Alert:
Poor Jason! He's so hopeless. LOL! At least he doesn't have a psychopath girlfriend anymore. I almost died when I saw the cajun guy's photo coming through the fax! OMG! Does that mean he's the killer? Don't tell me! Oooooh, I can't stand it! I also loved the new vampire Bill "made". She's hilarious!
