Who's Your Cast? - XiaoYu - 08-18-2008
Happened upon Ryan Reynolds in acting action for the first time last night on tv in Just Friends. I've never seen him (or noticed him, anyway) in any other movies, and I didn't realize it was him in this movie until he'd been "hotified" in the plot. Then I was so psyched to see the movie just to find out what he's like onscreen. Naturally not much Jack-worthy acting on his part due to the nature/genre of the plot, but I could imagine him doing well with Jack's sillier side like the fake eyeball, or stalking high through the streets of New Jack City, or sharing jokes with Vicky, or acting flamboyant in a lacy shirt...
...sigh. This RJ movie's never going to come out, is it?

I always thought of "Abe" as kind of a Fyvush Finkel sort of actor, but I think he's dead now:

I couldn't really picture any child actress to play Gia's daughter, but definately NOT Dakota fanning (isn't she way too old now anyway?)

I'm not sure Finkel will still be alive when the movie is finally made, he's lookin kinda croak-worthy there.
As for Bosworth, i personally don't think she'd got the looks or the chops for Gia, but that is just one opinion.
I'm currently scouring the internet for young Jack possiblities though its not going terribly well.
As for who could pull off Jack in 5-10 years, here's my newest picks:

Normally I give props to my fellow Hosers, but Justin Chatwin is a wee bit too pretty for Jack (maybe he'll get uglier over the next 7 years).
Channing is too jar-head for jack. Captain America, maybe.
Aston Kutcher? Can Demi play Gia?! Sean William Scott can play Abe!

I still like Jim Sturgis...check out the Vegas scenes in 21...he looks a lot less baby-faced in that one.

I'm also adding Chris Pine as a possible Jack, I feel like I'm needing to move onto a different character though cause they're all starting to look alike to me now.
And Chatwin still has that boyish look right now but hey, we'll see what happens. Maybe he'll break his nose or get a cool [but not disfiguring] scar across his eyebrow.

I have always seen RJ as Jason Statham. Gia could be Ali Larter or Molly Sims and Vicky could be Abigail Breslin or Adair Tishler or Madison Davenport.

That being said, I just can't see Jason Statham with a full head of brown hair.
Ali Larter? Meh. Molly Sims has possibilities, if a bit old at 35.
As Seph states, Adair Tishler and Abby Breslin are both too old (Vicks has to be 7-9 years old).

Stumbled upon a great Jack for 2015...Sean Faris: 26, 6' 0"
...he'd be 33 and ready to take on a bunch of Jack movies.
And, he's #38 of magazine Elle Girl's: 50 Sexiest Guys. Not bad considering he's not a pretty-boy.
He's my new #1 for Jack in 2015 with JimSturgis as #2.
Wenworth Miller is a good choice for a current Jack movie, Vincent Karthe-whatever = snore, Richard Blake could be a good choice for 2015, but I'd place him third after Faris and Sturgis, he's quite "pretty".
I already listed Diane in a previous post, decent choice but she doesn't look very Italian to me. Julie Benz is getting a little old at 36, she's ok but I would have other choices first. Ana, nope.
