Non-FPW Readings - JSWolf - 05-24-2012 cobalt Wrote:I'm reading the new Eve Dallas book by JD Robb, "New York to Dallas"...and I don't want it to end...it's a good one. I've read up to #18. I like the In Death series (not Eve Dallas series). The sex scenes are easy enough to read through and mostly ignore. I just hope the other 2 in the series are as good as this one. The second follow on very well from the first. The third is a bit different and it feels a little like it was rushed. It's still good, just not as good as 1 & 2. Non-FPW Readings - Sigokat - 05-29-2012 I finished The Hunger Games this weekend. I enjoyed it and will probably read the next two (I'm wary of sequels sometimes, such as Ender's Game...I never read the following books because the ending of Ender's Game got a little too weird for me). Anyways, The Hunger Games was great, but I was getting a little annoyed with Katniss and the fact that
she couldn't tell that Peeta's love for her was real and not fabricated for the games. It was so obvious that only a fool would think it was faked.
Other than that, it was a great read. Non-FPW Readings - Kenji - 05-30-2012 Today I finished reading "The Cross" by Scott G. Mariani. It's A Vampire Federation's 2nd novel. I said 1st novel: "Uprising" was the great vampire story. So now, I have to say "The Cross" is the greater vampire story than previous one! The action is nicely written. I couldn't put it down. You can't believe my words? Trust me, you'll enjoy this series. The novel is very fast paced and easy to read. If you are looking for a good vampire novel like "The Midnight Mass", then I really recommend the first Vampire Federation novel:Uprising, and then you have to get into "The Cross". You won't be disappointed. http://www.google.co.jp/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=Mariani++The+Cross&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CF8QFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.scottmariani.com%2FtheCrossUK.html&ei=VSnGT5VkgeaYBcXVtbsF&usg=AFQjCNEmuUsWGGyBd3Fk-oH5TSWZfXpM5w Non-FPW Readings - Scott Miller - 05-30-2012 Kenji Wrote:Today I finished reading "The Cross" by Scott G. So I had been looking for these since you first mentioned them, I'm a vampire junkie, and I couldn't find them for the longest time but it sounded familiar so I just looked again and see that for some reason they are published under the name Sean McCabe here instead of Mariani. So now I'll be checking it out sometime soon. Non-FPW Readings - cobalt - 05-30-2012 JSWolf Wrote:I've read up to #18. I like the In Death series (not Eve Dallas series). So you shoud read this series! Non-FPW Readings - Kenji - 06-05-2012 I just started reading "Blood Oath" by Christopher Farnsworth. So far this is pretty excellent! Non-FPW Readings - tpfister - 06-08-2012 Re-reading the Dark Tower series, on book 4 and heading for King's newest book 4 1/2. I must say that the story of Roland Just keeps drawing me back, definitely one of my favorite characters along with RJ Non-FPW Readings - Sigokat - 06-08-2012 I started reading a sci-fi book called "Necropath" (I can't remember the author right now) that I picked up from Book A Million before it closed here in Fayetteville. I can't seem to get into it though. Might need to try something else and then go back to it. |
