You need someone that can capture the intenseness when repairman Jack gets crossed in the wrong way~

I think he might be a little old for the part, But Kathryn Erbe has potential for GIA, Inteligent, Strong, Uncompromising (these qualities that make her REALLY HOT)

I also liked Kathryn Erbe a lot in "Oz," on HBO. She was the lone woman on death row and when it came time for her to walk that last mile, she chose to be hanged.

Colin Farrell kind of comes to mind. Because Jack is so nondescript, I often thought Kevin Spacey would fly in Jack's shoes, but I think he's gotten just a tad too old for this part now. If you're thinking he doesn't have the quiet strength and anger of Jack, watch The Negotiator.

Josh Hartnett doesn't have that "murderous rage" of undercurrent I always believed Jack to have to tamp down.

Abe - now there's an interesting character and one of my absolute favorites. Couldn't you just see Jerry Stiller doing Art?

Speaking of Jerry Stiller, it wouldn't be a far jump for me to see Ben Stiller playing Jack. It would be a great crossover for him from comedy and I think he could probably pull it off with great results.

Interesting choice. Based on Ben's performance in Permanent Midnight, I believe he could pull it off, but I fear he has become way too recognizable for him to be RJ. Of course, by the time the movie goes into production, Ben may be a candidate to play Abe.

And welcome to the board.

Welcome to the board. Interesting choice in Jerry Stiller. Could work.

And if you can contemplate Ben Stiller for Jack, how about Adam Sandler. Check out Punch-Drunk Love to see that "murderous rage."

Gag me with a spoon and shoot me now. I would NEVER see the RJ movie if it starred Adam Sandler. P.S. Period. End of story. No swaying me from this position. I take it to my grave.

Gimme a spoon and a gun and get over here, and I will.

I don't believe you would skip the movie.....under any circumstances, except had you been deceased due to choking on a food utensil or slamming yourself into a bullet.

I happen to like his stupid comedies, but if you see Punch-Drunk Love you will realize that he can actually act... and he does fury very well.

Thin line beween hilarity and insanity, eh. Of course, I just find his comedies stupid so that rule may not apply in this instance.

No, Jim, that's my point. As much as I love RJ and FPW's works, I would skip the movie if it starred Adam Sandler.

Ok, on the point of funny-turned-serious actors - how about Robin Williams as Abe??
