Technically it says he just produced, but I remember reading articles saying he was a lot more involved than just coughing up the money. The Next Generation Last Thread - Marc - 02-22-2013 The Constant is one of the best episodes of LOST in my opinion. I love time travel stuff. The Next Generation Last Thread - Sigokat - 02-23-2013 I mentioned The Constant because so many people loved that episode and I absolutely hated it. I didn't see what was so great about it. Perhaps it was because I didn't really care about either Desmond or that dorky Saving Private Ryan guy. ![]() I agree with Picard about Abrams though. I did enjoy Cloverfield though. I never watched Alias because I thought the premise looked stupid and I never saw MI: III. I like the new Trek movie, but I did have a few issues with it as well. I honestly think Abrams is more about making money and "leaving his mark" then staying true to source material. I think this next Trek will be good because of Cumebrbatch mostly but I honestly think he'll ruin Star Wars. When I met him at the Trek premiere in Kuwait (along with most of the cast) he honestly seemed like he didn't want to be there. Like his grand premiere of Star Trek was being opened to a bunch of soldiers in Kuwait versus all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. All the actors were cool though, but JJ just seemed to have something lodged up his fourth point of contact. The Next Generation Last Thread - Medusa - 02-23-2013 That's how I was with DS9. It had been on for several years before I started watching it. I never went back to watch the earlier ones. I loved the Occupation that lasted for a season or two. PicardRex Wrote:What Sig said in regards to DS9. As soon as they begin the Dominion stuff it takes off and even though the Bajoran/Prophet stuff is integral to the story, the better stories are about the war. The Next Generation Last Thread - cobalt - 02-25-2013 My family lost another aunt last night. There is just one aunt....from a family of 8....left. We were sitting around doing the remember when thing over coffee last night. We remembered that Ann taught us to sew...and knit...and crochete. She taught us all the "good" words in Italian. ![]() Best of all...Ann was the calming affect on everyone....no matter what. I'll miss her....alot. Sounds like she was quite a character and will be remembered fondly. The Next Generation Last Thread - Sigokat - 02-26-2013 I changed my screen name on the site where I have some of my stories written so Toni can no longer "accidently" google my name and proceed to read everything I wrote. The Next Generation Last Thread - Medusa - 02-26-2013 They just added Avery Brooks (Captain Sisko of DS9) to the Comicpalooza guest list. He's strange but I still want to meet him. |
