LaNague books - RootsReggae - 06-22-2011
I just read Dydeetown & The Tery and I have to say they were excellent. I hope the other 3 books are just as good. I didn't know I would like them so much. I mean I love AC and Jack. The medical thrillers I've read are decent, but they are not why Wilson is my favorite author. So I wasn't sure about LaNague, but now I am. They are awesome. Question. How many people have read every book The Man has written.

The LaNague books are my favorite.
Do read Healer, Wheels Within Wheels, and An Enemy of the State, as those are the best of LaNague. I'm sure there are quite a few people here who have read every FPW book. Some of us have been fans for 20-30 years so we've just read the stuff as it comes out. Not too hard to keep up that way.

I've only known about Wilson for 13 months and I've read 30 of his books. I found out about him after Lost went off the air. I was checking out the books featured on the show, and at the end of the list it mentions the AC not as being featured on the show, but being possibley an inspiration to the writters of Lost

So I tried to buy The Keep on amazon used and the first time I ended up with The Keep by Jennifer Egan. So I tried again and got the right book. I Thought it was delightful and evil. So I picked up The Tomb and was shocked when I liked it even better than The Keep. So I picked up the rest of the AC. 3 of the books were only $0.01 so I didn’t feel too bad paying $19.00 for a used paperback copy of Reprisal. Balance the universe and all. After Nightworld I had to know all about Jack and read that whole series. I’ve been reading other authors this past year also, but I intend to have read everything he’s written by the time revised Nightworld comes out. I’m liking his $2.99 kindle deals. I’m glad I got it as a X-mas present now.

Pretty sure I've read just about everything The Man has published. Some of them in both original and revised versions, LOL. Many of them more than once.
It's not the first time it's been said, but one of the best things about FPW is that unlike some other authors who've been successful for many years, Paul continues to surprise us, thrill us and entertain us with every new book. That's why he's The Man.

I am with some others, I have read everything F Paul Wilson has published. Up until recently I had a big hole in that, could never find an affordable copy of "Virgin" but it was released for the Kindle for $2.99 and I have now read it as well.
Awesome story Roots and dang, you have smashed out the books, 13 months and you are this far? Great stuff.

The only book I see a problem with is The Christmas Thingy. Even the used copies are pricy and I get the feeling it’s more picture than book. Like it would probably only take 30 minutes to read it. I do hope to get that one of these days though.

Black Wind is one of my personal favorites. It is worth the wait. As for the Christmas Thingy, keep your eyes out. Last year, a bit before Christmas there was a deal you could order a copy and get it signed for a very affordable price (I can't remember the exact amount but it was very reasonable).
I have even now read an ARC of "The Dark At the End" (thanks to another board member) and it was awesome. I am already dying for the revised version of "Nightworld" after finishing TDATE.

If FPW ever feels like going back into the LaNague universe for some more stories after he completes all his Jack and Adversary Cycle works, I'd be happy to read the stories. I've got the 3-in-1 volume of Healer, Wheels, and Enemy, but I didn't get to read Dydeetown World until if came out on Kindle.
