Catching up on My Netflix Queue - saynomore - 08-10-2007 I finished watching Carnavale Season 2 a few weeks ago. Disappointed with the finale, but hear there may be a 2-hour movie to give closure to the series. Last week, I finished watching Deadwood Season 3. Disappointed with the finale, but hear there may be 2 2-hour movies to give closure to the series. This week I started watching 4400 Season 1...then, bam! Hey, I could be watching MoH's Pelts. So, I deleted the 4400 series from my queue and put on fpw's Pelts, as well as several other MoH titles. Looking forward to Pelts, Deer Woman, and The Fair Haired Child. I'll get back to 4400 later. Also, passed on The Sopranos and The Shield. Deadwood really took the steam out of my desire to see complete seasons of a series when they end so anticlimatically. AC P.S. Also queued a few hard-to-find Miike flicks. Catching up on My Netflix Queue - Marc - 08-10-2007 I just rented Apocalypto and was really surprised. I enjoyed it very much which I didn't expect after that crapfest Passions of the Christ. Also watched a direct to DVD flick called Unknown that Aphew recommended. I really enjoyed it up until the end and while it wasn't the ending it should have been the movie itself was interesting and well done. Next on my list is the new Babylon 5 movie, Little Children, Inland Empire and Perfume. I have two series going right now (Buffy and Angel) and little interest in any of the (400+) movies in my queue. My favorite MoHs so far have been Cigarette Burns and Dreams in the Witch House (though many people dislike these two) and Incident On and Off a Mountain Road (though this might play a little too much to the current torture porn craze which I don't like). Catching up on My Netflix Queue - GeraldRice - 08-15-2007 Saw Unknown and the ending definitely fell off from the set up established in the 1st two thirds. I highly recommend Perfume to EVERYBODY. I haven't rooted for a murderer that much since Hannibal Lecter. I don't have anything good coming up in my queue for a while, but I suggest Afro Samurai to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Oh, wait, I'm getting Vacancy tomorrow. It looks promising, though I've heard some disappointing things about it. Catching up on My Netflix Queue - saynomore - 08-17-2007 I saw "Imprint" last night. This was the MoH episode that was censored and never shown on the series (or so it says on the dvd box). Takashi Miike is not at his best here, but this definitely falls under the category of horror. Next up: Pelts. AC Catching up on My Netflix Queue - Kenji - 08-18-2007 saynomore Wrote:I saw "Imprint" last night. Next up: Pelts. Yes, "Imprint" was disgusting and creepiest! But his next film is not horror. And I'm looking forward to it. Next month I'll go to see it. All dialogues are in English, so you won't get annoyance for Japanese subtitles. I just finished watching the excellent Perfume; an amazing movie to look at(the set designer deserves Oscar consideration for sure) and full of top notch acting. However, I wouldn't say I was rooting for Jean-Baptiste as he was murdering innocent victims who hadn't done anything to deserve their gruesome fate. I could certainly sympathize with his deplorable upbringing, but in no way could it justify his actions. Catching up on My Netflix Queue - Marc - 11-28-2007 Perfume was brilliant. I have yet to meet someone that saw it not like it. Catching up on My Netflix Queue - Maggers - 11-28-2007 Marc B. Wrote:Perfume was brilliant. I wasn't rooting for the murderer in the book, though. He was not painted in a favorable fashion.
